What is Acne?

Acne is one of the most common skin. Pimples, blackheads (grains) or red bumps of acne, affects almost all teenagers and many young adults. Acne occurs when a plug of fat and skin gets stuck in the follicle. The follicle is a pore which is born hair. The area around the follicle swells and reddens.

Most times, people suffer from acne stop after a few years but you may present some mud throughout his life. Acne may persist for many years and cause scarring of the skin. You can also make you feel bad about yourself. This can lead to depression, anxiety and other emotional problems.

Causes:

• The causes of acne are unknown. One possible cause may be the way hormones work in the body. Hormones are a special chemical produced by your body. The work of the hormones is to control how work the different parts of your body. During the early years of adolescence, boys and girls begin to produce more of the sex hormones. These hormones are known as androgens.
• Androgen-producing glands control the oil (sebum) located inside the pores (hair follicles) of your skin. The sebaceous glands produce an oily substance called sebum. When sebum production is excessive hair follicles become clogged. This blockage causes blackheads, pimples and bumps. Acne can also be caused by stress or by germs deposited on the skin. Some families have more problems with acne than other families.

Signs and symptoms:

Acne can be mild or severe. It occurs most often in the face. It can also occur in the shoulders, back, chest, arms and buttocks. You may experience different kinds of acne on your body. May form a cyst in the follicle and causing a mud fill. The stopper can reach the outside of your skin and wear black. This is known as the shin. You may have small pink bumps, painful located near the outer skin. Also, you may have big bumps, hard and painful that are filled with pus.

Care:

There is a cure for acne but can be controlled. The doctors will decide how to treat it after carefully examining your skin. For treatment of acne may use, creams, lotions or pills.

You have the right to participate in their care plan. To participate in this plan, you must learn about acne and the form used to treat it. That way you and your doctor can talk about your options and decide which may be best for your care. You always have the right to refuse treatment.
