Diet and acne: summary
In recent days I’ve gone through all the trials on acne and fats such as Omega-3, iodine, antioxidants, chocolate, calorie intake, fatty foods, digestion, and zinc. Added to this, what I learned about the milk and blood sugar, I’m afraid that does not stand out to me as a smoking gun with respect to diet and acne.
Just has not been investigated enough. However, at least, researchers are studying how diet can affect acne, so hopefully the next time you check some literature, the available evidence in the scientific community begins to take shape . Meanwhile, according to digest all that the scientific community has to offer with respect to diet and acne, this is what I personally am going to do about the diet:
1, Continue to take fish oil and eating the delicious Natural sushi, you can also take 4 pills of fish oil per day to compensate for the Western-style diet, which like almost everyone living in modern society, is rich in omega-6 fats from vegetable oils, grains , etc.
Not enough evidence to convince of the benefits of Omega-3 and I feel good eating fish oil, whether good or not my acne can help my skin. Also, when I eat, I ask specifically if the fish or sushi on the menu is natural. farmed fish and shellfish are low in omega-3 and other nutrients in relation to natural seafood.
2. Continue to take zinc supplements. Having deepened on the benefits of zinc, I am convinced that the most likely is an important nutrient when it comes to fighting inflammation and have the bacteria under control. I will continue taking my 30 mg per day.
3. Do not worry about iodine, chocolate and fatty foods. I will keep eating seaweed salad and seafood (both contain iodine). There is no evidence to show that the amount of iodine consumed in these foods is harmful for acne. Based on available evidence, I will also continue to eat chocolate every day a little without having to worry about how you will react to my skin. I will also continue to eat fatty foods occasionally and without fear.
4. Try to be healthy in general. Antioxidants are important in the body soothing agents, and diet rich in antioxidants like fruits and vegetables need not be boring. When it comes to glycemic index , scientists do not know if it helps or not the outbreak of acne, but I will try to maintain a balanced diet with carbohydrates, fats and proteins to maintain energy and mood to avoid accidents.
A full update on diet and acne on page acne.org is underway with much more information about each of these issues. In the meantime, if you look at the evidence available, healthy eating and moderation in general sufficient for those who know about diet and acne at this time.
